Alexander Kofi Pianim

Director of Education & Community Engagement

Kofi was born in London, England, but grew up in the Washington DC metropolitan area. He excelled as a tennis player and received a scholarship to play for Frostburg State University. Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Kofi received a Bachelors of Science in Sociology & Business Administration of which led to his post graduate degree in Education at Frostburg State University.

With 20 years of experience in education, he has worked with various governmental and educational nonprofits that awarded millions in scholarships for underserved communities throughout the United States.

Kofi’s track record has proven effective through his unique approach to student recruitment, curriculum development, and career planning. He also facilitates case-management studies for institutions as well as provides tools for administrators to strengthen educational partnerships with their students and faculty.

Kofi is a Program Manager at Howard University. He facilitates graduate careers in finance, real estate, and capital markets. He also mentors students as they navigate through their academic journey, while building a sense of identity and purpose.

John Yawya Agyepong

Director of Leadership & Cultural Development

Yawya is a Washington DC native that received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Evangel University and went on to pursue a Masters degree in Divinity from the King's University.

Upon completion of his Master’s Degree, He became the international project manager to Africa for the Foursquare Foundation. They funded projects globally and Yawya managed millions in grants that aimed to provide pathways towards mental health, cultural identity, education and micro business endeavors.

In 2010, he transitioned into the music space and produced mainstream Hip Hop/R&B events globally. He managed Grammy winning artists, songwriters and facilitated talent to brand partnerships. 

Yawya is the Creative Facilitator for an immersive storytelling studio wherein he manages projects, curates content and develops talent. His passion is to bring cultural awareness and expose others to entrepreneurial opportunities in art, technology and agriculture.

Christine Kituyi Muwanga

Lead Curator of eastern Africa

Kituyi was born in Namengo, Uganda and founded the Excellence Junior School in 2014. She has worked in various capacities throughout the eastern and southern regions of Africa for over 15 years. Kituyi received her Bachelors of Art in Education & Art. She has a postgraduate degree in Refugee Law from Makerere University.

Kituyi’s connection and understanding of the region is displayed by her ability to speak seven languages and maintain a strong sense of integrity through her leadership. She has partnered and worked with various organizations throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Kituyi has a proven track record of implementing processes and maintaining the appropriate cultural stance on any given project. From coordinating humanitarian initiatives to translating literature, She displays a centered approach to bridging the gap beyond gender, class, and religious affiliations.

Wistone Kawala Watton

Lead Curator of Southern Africa

Kawala is a Zambian that grew up in the Copperbelt Province of Mufulira. He has a masters degree from Twin Palm University and is currently working towards his Doctorate in Global Leadership. Kawala has partnered with World Vision internationally and served on the committee of The Lusaka fellowship of clergy.

He has developed and trained many emerging leaders on impactful methods of service for vulnerable populations throughout the continent of Africa. Kawala has pioneered projects that are instrumental in combating sex trafficking and educating underestimated populations on HIV and AIDS prevention.

Kawala’s experience in conflict resolution and reconciliation has afforded him the opportunity to build bridges amongst organizations, individuals, and communities. His practical approach to mentorship has resulted in producing influencers that are transformative in their approach to servant leadership.
